The saatchi gallery is located in London for contemporary art. The gallery was opened by Charles Saatchi in 1985 to exhibit his collection to the public. The gallery has been previously located first in north London, then the south banks by the river Thames, it is currently located in Chelsea. Charles Saatchi was born on 9th june 1943, He is the co-founder with his brother Maurice of the global advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi. Charles is also known worldwide as an art collector and owner of the Saatchi Gallery.

The newspeak - British Art Now is the second part of its survey of young British artists. 'the Saatchi Gallery’s latest exhibition, Newspeak – British Art Now opens bringing with it a whole host of emerging British art talent. The exhibition is the second part of the series of which part one finished a couple of weeks ago and claims to be a ‘museum-scale survey of emergent British contemporary art’.

All the artifacts i chose to put in my contacts sheet i found to be the most interesting. I thought these particular artifacts worked very well in the British Art Now exhibition. My favorite pictures on the contacts sheet is a piece of art made by Tessa Farmer called 'Swarm'. Also the other pieces of artwork i found interesting were three pieces painted by and artist called Jonathan Wateridge called 'Group series no. 2 space program', ' Group series no. 1 Sandinista' and 'Jungle scene with plane wreck'.
